Gianni Veneziano e Luciana Di Virgilio/V+T
The architect and designer Gianni Veneziano has taken a degree in architecture in 1979 at the University of Florence. In his degree thesis he focused on “Design of Architecture and Designed Architecture”, with Adolfo Natalini, who thinks they are the central themes of his works of art exposed in galleries and museum.
He was in the U.S.A. from 1979 to 1981. His American experience was very important for his career; indeed there was a discussion about the “post-modern movement”, that was the first architectonic experience for Veneziano.
In 1984 in Milan he constituted with Rasulo “Oxido”Galleryc for art project, now known as “Oxido Zoo”
He has collaborated with many industries as , Lumi, Sisal, Barovier e Toso, Ortolan, Fatto ad Arte, Fine Factory e etc.
It is possible to find his works in many galleries and museums.
He is a teacher at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence; he taught at the Academy of fine arts in Bary during Masters about the Design.
In 2008 he constituted “Veneziano+team”, a multidisciplinary studio for architecture, art, design and graphics with Luciana Di Virgilio.
Luciana Di Virgilio has taken an Industrial Design degree at the University of Florence. She is involved in many aspects of design as product, interior, graphic.
In 2011 received the honorable mention from the Raymond Loewy Foundation
The philosophy of the studio is that the piratical aspects can define shapes and structures; this is an intuitive and simple method that keeps an artistic spirit but it is opened to a whole contamination and innovations.
The office’s work is a mixture of experiences and innovations.
The studio’s work is present on the occasion of the most important national and international fairs of the sector, for example the “Salone del Mobile” in Milan, “Maison & Objet” in Paris, “Spoga + Gafa” in Cologne, “Abitare il Tempo” in Verona, “Sun” in Rimini.
Also is important the activity of curators of exhibitions about the design including the latest for the Milan Triennale.
